    A Night of Celebrations and Empowering Impactful Futures! The AWCM presents Eid al-Fitr celebration on Friday, April 12th, from 06:00 pm to 10:00 pm. We celebrate Eid as it is a symbol of unity and it holds special significance for Muslims around the world, marking the end of Ramadan and a month of fasting, reflection, and spiritual growth. We are thrilled to invite you to an evening filled with delights: from tantalizing Afghan cuisine to captivating traditional dances by an Azerbaijan group, and live musical performances by Ramin Bakhtary. Additionally we will have our exciting raffle, open to all attendees. Moreover, we aim to extend our support to the orphan center in Kabul, which has now transformed into a school for girls. Your participation not only signifies unity but also contributes to providing essential resources for those in need. In the midst of challenges and uncertainties, 2023 has been a year of triumphs and remarkable achievements for us. This past year presented us with various hurdles, yet we emerged victorious, standing resilient and well-prepared to face adversities head-on. Celebration of the Longest Night of the Year (Shab-e-Yalda) On December 22nd, the Afghan Women's Centre shone brightly with pride as we embraced Shab-e-Yalda, the magical celebration of the year's longest night. This cherished tradition resonates with the message of light prevailing over darkness, inspiring us to serve our community with renewed dedication. Keeping our cultural heritage alive is a source of immense pleasure, and this gathering was a testament to that commitment. The evening was adorned with the soul-stirring recitations of poetry, the haunting melodies of traditional music, and the delightful flavors of finger foods that delighted our senses. Through this celebration, we not only revealed in togetherness but also revitalized our rich cultural legacy, feeling the warmth of shared laughter and the bond of our collective heritage. As poetry, music, and laughter echoed through the air, we illuminated the space with the brilliance of our traditions, fostering a sense of unity and pride in our cultural identity.

Here are the event details: Date: December 15th, 2023 Time: 15:00-18:30 Venue: 1439 Saint Catherine West Feel free to come with your family and friends but remember that places are limited, so please reserve your spot before Thursday, Dec. 15th at 17:00 by filling out the participation form. The event is free for all. We will also Celebrate the Longest night of the year Shab-e-Yalda on Dec 22nd We are delighted to extend an invitation to the upcoming Shabe-e-Yalda celebration, marking the longest night of the year. On this enchanting occasion, immerse yourself in the rich Afghan tradition with festive food, traditional music, reading poems from the Diwan-e-Hafiz, the warm glow of candles illuminating our path to shared success, poetry game, and the special Yalda Night Table. The evening will culminate in fundraising for the Families Sponsorship Program. Your support directly transforms lives, offering Afghan families a brighter future. On this memorable night, let's make a positive impact through the generous participation in fundraising.
