Humanitarian Crisis in Afghanistan

Canada will resettle an estimated 40,000 vulnerable Afghans threatened by the Taliban and forced to flee their home primarily due to insecurity and violence. The need of those who have had to flee suddenly are critical. AWCM and partners are assisting newly displaced Afghans with shelter, food, clothing, health, and sanitation support.
How your contribution can help:

  • Around 50$ will enable a translator to assist a refugee family

  • Around 100 $ will enable AWCM to provide a meal for one family of four

  • Around 200 $ will enable AWCM to purchase other essential goods for survival, & hygienic supplies

  • Around 500$ will enable AWCM to facilitate access to shelter and housing

You can make a difference and bring hope to refugees today with a 100% tax-deductible donation to AWCM.

The Afghan Women's Centre is not able to accept donations of clothing due to hygienic considerations in the current pandemic context as well as lack of storage space. Nevertheless, we thank you for your support of the refugees and their well-being.
