Voices of Many: Building Bridges Across Cultures and Beliefs

On March 20, 2026, the Afghan Women’s Center of Montreal (AWCM) proudly hosted Voices of Many: Building Bridges Across Cultures and Beliefs at Centre Sanaaq in Montreal. The conference brought together community leaders, elected officials, academics, and residents for an afternoon of meaningful dialogue celebrating diversity, multiculturalism, and cultural understanding.

Held in recognition of Nowruz, the event explored the importance of cultural heritage, identity, and history building stronger, more inclusive communities. Through engaging panel discussions, inspiring testimonials, and thoughtful reflections, participants shared diverse perspectives on belonging, resilience, and the value of intercultural dialogue.

The conference concluded itself with a social mocktail reception, providing attendees with the opportunity to continue conversations, build new connections, and strengthen partnerships across communities.

At AWCM, we believe that creating spaces for open dialogue and celebrating our diverse cultures helps foster mutual understanding, challenge barriers, and build a more welcoming and inclusive society for everyone.
