Our Board of Directors, staff, volunteers, and members gathered for the Afghan Women's Centre of Montreal's 2026 Annual General Meeting, celebrating another year of impact, growth, and community while looking ahead to the future.

On July 29, 2026, the Afghan Women’s Centre of Montreal (AWCM) held its Annual General Meeting, bringing together members, staff, volunteers, partners, and community supporters to celebrate another year of dedication and impact. 

The meeting highlighted AWCM’s continued commitment to empowering immigrant and racialized women, supporting families fostering inclusion, and creating safe spaces for connection and belonging. Members reflected on the achievements of the past year, including community initiatives, and ongoing efforts of our volunteers and partners.

We also recognized the dedication of our team and community members who continue to strengthen AWCM’s mission through their passion, resilience, and commitment. Thank you to everyone who joined us and contributed to another successful year of building a stronger, more connected community.

Our 2026 Annual General Meeting served as an opportunity to share our annual report, highlight organizational milestones, and engage members in the governance and future direction of the Centre.
