Strengthening our organisation for a better and transformative future!

Over the past year, AWCM undertook the Women’s Empowerment Strategic Initiative toward Systemic Financial and Technological Transformation, a project focused on strengthening the organization and building a stronger foundation for the future.

As part of this work, AWCM strengthened its human resources framework to support clearer and more consistent practices for staff and volunteers, and developed a retention approach focused on supporting and recognizing the people who contribute to our programs and services. 

The organization will also conduct a review of its financial structure and funding activities, helping to identify opportunities for greater diversification and long-term sustainability. Building on this work, AWCM wish to develop a long-term funding strategy focused on strengthening partnerships, expanding funding opportunities and working towards a more stable, multi-year support.

Together, these efforts have strengthened AWCM’s organizational capacity and will provide a stronger foundation for continued growth and service to our community for years to come.
